Mig Vapor is well-known in the vaping community, and it's devices like this that keep it in good standing. The Morpheus is a great all-around device that is big enough for veterans and easy for new users as well.

The Morpheus Vape MOD Kit is a great starter kit that comes from Mig Vapor. The 100 watt, sub-ohm deviceprovides a lot of power in a tube style MOD that is stylish and easy to use. If you are new to sub-ohm vaping, or just looking for an easy to use MOD, this device might just fit the bill.
The Morpheus battery is a 100 watt variable voltage model that automatically adjusts between 20 and 100 watts depending on the atomizer resistance. The Morpheus’s sub-ohm style enables larger clouds and great vapor production for someone who is looking for a more significant puff. The battery has a carbon fiber construction that comes in either a black or a silver model. The 3000 mAh capacity battery provides long lasting battery life that will last most vapers several days on one single charge. The battery is charged via a USB port that is located on the side of the device. It also has a spring-loaded, standard 510 connection making it compatible with a variety of tanks. It has easy controls for newbies and experienced vapers alike. The one button device turns on simple, like most devices; you simply rapidly hit the fire button five times to turn the device on and five times to turn it off. The Morpheus kit also includes a set of 5 different colored rubber O-rings used to protect the battery from generally wear and tear.
The Morpheus tank is an excellent companion for that awesome battery, creating an overall sleek and stylish package. The tank is constructed of stainless steel and Pyrex glass and has a 3 mL capacity. The tank is easy to fill and hold enough e-juice that it will easily last average vapers more than a full day of use. The Morpheus has two airflow control valves one on the mouthpiece and one on the base of the tank enabling even bigger clouds. The kit includes two vertical sub-ohm coils, one is 0.2 ohms and the other is 0.4 ohms. The coils are made of kanthal wire and have organic cotton wicking. Final Word

The Morpheus Vape MOD Kit from Mig Vapor is such an awesome device. Especially of you are wanting to get into sub-ohm vaping, but still unsure about all the variable options, you really won’t find a better option. The Morpheus has the variable wattage options, but since it adjusts automatically to the resistance of your coil, you won’t have to worry about knowing the perfect settings, you can just wick it, fill it and go. The one button controls are so simple, that even a full on e-cigarette newbie would have no problem catching on immediately.
I don’t think it’s just good for beginners, I think it’s an excellent to go model as well. With that sizable 3 mL tank I never have to refill it during my day, it will last me through all my errands, through whatever I have to do in a day away from the home, and I don’t have to refill it until I get back home. That’s important for me, I don’t like carrying a lot of e-juice around so having a tank that will get me easily through the day is a big win in my book. The best part is the battery can stand up to the tank, in fact, the battery well outlasts the tank. The 3000 mAh capacity is just awesome, and gets me through several days when I am using it as my primary to go vape.
The sub-ohm coil and the airflow control really work together well to create a truly big vapor, especially for the size of the device. I like the fact that you have airflow controls on both your mouthpiece and tank, it gives you a few more options so you can get just the right vapor, or open them both all the way and get the biggest cloud you can. The vapor production is quite awesome too, you’ll definitely be impressed seeing the kind of clouds you normally see from box MODS coming from this little tube style model.
I think a lot of people might look at the lack of adjustable options as a downfall, but I think that just depends on what kind of device you are looking for. For the Morpheus that is geared toward simplicity and ease of use, I think it truly delivers.
The device is also extremely well built and the style is pretty great too. The carbon fiber on the battery looks amazing whether you get silver or black. It fits so well with the Morpheus tank too; the two make a stellar looking overall device. If you’re looking for an overall excellent combination of simplicity and power, in a stylish package, the Morpheus looks like it has everything you’re looking for.

Wismec Reuleaux RX200S combines feature from its predecessors the RX200 and DNA200. It features TC function that is compatible with Nickel, Titanium, and Stainless Steel coils and features a large OLED display. Performance were awesome and the Reuleaux RX200S has everything you will want in an advanced mod.

Wismec Reuleaux RX200S, another innovative version of one of the most popular devices in the world, the Wismec Reuleaux RX200S. Still features the unique exterior design and variable temperature control function that is compatible with Ni200 Nickel, Titanium, and Stainless Steel heating materials along with a three memory TCR modes that can be adjusted directly from the device. In addition to the high power output of 200W and compatible down to 0.1 ohms, it has an improved 0.96 inch OLED display screen which presents all parameters more clearly. Also, the upgradeable firmware will enable your device always up to date for future improvements in output technology.

What makes Reuleaux RX200S a good version from Reuleaux RX200?

Trendsetting Chassis Designed By Jay Bo

A dimension of 50mm*40mm*84mm, Engraved with JayBo on Firing Button, Modern Matte Finish, and Ergonomic Shape you can feel it’s a true performance that took the industry by storm.
New RX200S Chipset
Being powerful with the maximum output wattage of 1 to 200W reaching from 3.5 ohms down to 0.1 ohms (200 to 600° F). Will provide you with different vaping experiences.

The RX200S with 3 battery cells can maintain high power output continuously and steadily with its New 200W Chip Set. Also, onboard is Reverse Polarity Protection which can be successfully achieved by the application of special battery anti-reverse circuit adopted in the circuit board. An Aqua Color Magnetic Battery Sled, and Magnetized Battery Bay also offers expanded range within its inexpensive price point.
New 0.96 Inch OLED Display Screen

Giving you bigger vertical display arrangement that makes it easier to read the details on the screen.
Upgradeable firmware
With the most current firmware upgrade (V4.13) the maximum power output is now at 250W, customizable logo for a more personalized mod, and a pre-heat function is now available.

Is it worth buying?

The RX200S is an excellent mod for its inexpensive price point and performance, It should be a no brainer. But if you already have the RX200, I really don’t see the point in buying this unit. Because it is pretty much similar in function and built wise, except for the new 0.96 OLED screen and the color way that is close to the DNA200 series of Reuleaux. I’ts a combination of the RX200 and DNA200 at an affordable price. The DNA200 has a better performing chipset which gives a more accurate temperature range with its TC function and safety features. But with the firmware upgrades that are available for the Rx200 and Rx200S this is still a bang for the buck mod. I highly recommend this unit to those vape enthusiast who wants a better vape quality with wide range of features and massive power output. This is one of the best options available in the market that is capable of a true rated 200w power at a cheaper price.

Smok Micro One 80W TC Starter Kit

After a very successful 2015, which saw the release of popular devices like the X Cube 2 and X Cube Mini mods and the TFV4 sub-ohm tank, Chinese manufacturer SMOK seems determined not to rest on its laurels, but instead keep the momentum going with even more impressive products. Their latest offering, the R80 TC Micro One starter kit, is a complete package designed to make advanced vaping accessible to even the most inexperienced users.
The R80 TC Micro One comes in the usual black cardboard box with the SMOK logo on top, and includes a powerful 80 W temperature control mod, the micro version of the tried-and-true TFV4 tank, a couple of coil heads, a USB cable that can be used for charging and updating the device, a replacement XL glass tube for the tank, an extension adapter, a SMOK vape band, user manual and a bunch of spare parts. This is definitely one of the most generous starter kits I have ever reviewed, but this is something I’ve come to expect from SMOK. The Chinese company has been upping its game with each new release, and judging by the positive feedback from the vaping community, they are reaping their just rewards.

With other advanced mods, like the X Cube 2 or Koopor Plus, you not only need to buy and charge batteries separately, but you need to have a tank or RBA in order to start vaping. With the R80 starter kit, all you need is some e-liquid and you’re good to go. This is just like the eGo-style starter kits of old that we all transitioned to from cigalikes, only infinitely more powerful. Frankly, apart from the Vaporesso Target 75 VTC, I can’t think of a simpler, more streamlined way to experience stellar vaping performance.
If you think the R80 looks very familiar – I know I did – that’s because its designed is very similar to the SMOK M80, a previous generation device from the same manufacturer. They made a few minor changes on the new unit, but they still look very similar. The way I see it, the R80 is a refined, updated version of the M80 with a temperature control feature that actually works the way it’s supposed to.

At 85 x 55 x 22 mm, the SMOK R80 is considerably smaller than the gigantic X Cube 2, but similar in size to the X Cube Mini. It’s a little bit shorter, but wider than its not-so-distant cousin and feels just as sturdy in your hand, despite the softer rubberized paint finish. It’s just the right size, if you ask me, making it easy to carry both in hand or in an average-size pocket.
On the top and bottom of the device we have some nice stainless steel plates that go very well with the stainless steel micro TFV4, and on one of the sides we have the exact same buttons of the old M80 – a large fire button and two ‘+’ and ‘-‘ buttons, as well as a small OLED display and a ‘Reset’ button. On the bottom, we have some vent holes and a micro-USB port that can be used both for charging the 4000 mAh internal battery and to update the device.

The internal battery is actually one of the most useful features of the R80 mod, especially for beginners. You no longer need to buy look for and purchase external high-drain batteries separately, as the mod comes with a pretty big one built in. Charging is also easier, since it doesn’t require an external charger, and from my experience, it’s considerably faster. The unit I used most during the two week testing period leading to this review went from completely empty to fully charged in about one hour, which is about six hours less than it takes me to recharge my LG HG2 INR 3000 mAh batteries on a Nitecore D4 charger. Yes, those have a higher mAh rating, but still, the time difference is ridiculous.
Battery life varies according to wattage settings and how much you vape, but I reckon it should last the average vaper at least a day. And even if it doesn’t, an hour of charging really isn’t long at all.

There are a few things SMOK could have done better, like take button rattling seriously, as a lot of users find that very annoying, and add a slightly larger display, but all in all, the R80 is a great looking device with a quality feel. To be honest, of the four R80 units I received for this review, three of them had rattling buttons, while the fourth made no annoying sounds, but these are all samples, so maybe the Chinese company will pay more attention to this problem on the units they ship to retailers. And as for the OLED display, I have to mention that while it resembles the ones on the Koopor Mini and Koopor Plus, it is considerably brighter, so they are making improvements.
I’m not going to get into too much detail about the menu and button combinations of the R80 as these are the same or very similar to other SMOK mods, such as the X Cube Mini or Koopor Plus. They do take a bit of getting used to if you haven’t used SMOK products before, but otherwise they should look very familiar. If you’re looking for more in depth information on this particular topic, check out any of my previous SMOK reviews and you’ll probably find what you’re looking for.

Suffice it to say that the SMOK R80 comes with most of the features the Chinese company has built into its other recently released advanced devices. You have the various vaping modes, ranging from ‘Min’ to ‘Max’, which allow you to customize your vaping experience, coil type selection, coil resistance lock, temperature coefficient resistance settings, as well as various other goodies. The menu is feature rich for sure, but the great part is that you don’t need to mess with all the settings if you don’t want to. You can just screw on the tank, set the right wattage or temperature and you’re good to go.
While the R80 may not be SMOK’s most powerful mod to date, it packs enough of a punch to satisfy all but the most extreme cloud-chasers. It has a maximum wattage output of 80 watts, while in temperature mode it can be set between 200°F-600°F/100°C-315°C. Supported coil resistances range from 0.01-3.0 ohms in wattage mode and 0.06-3.0 ohms in temperature mode.

I’ve never really been a big fan of temperature control, to be honest, though I recognize that that appear to be the way vaping is going these days. But if you’re into TC, you’ll be glad to hear that the SMOK R80 supports nickel titanium and stainless steel coils, with the option to add support for any other materials in the future, via the upgrade port on the bottom.
As I mentioned before, unlike the old M80, the SMOK R80 actually works very well in temperature control mode. All the right coefficients for the various supported materials are preset, but you have the option to alter those settings should you be using different material grades.

Lastly, the thing I really liked about this mod, compared to other SMOK devices I reviewed in the past was that there was no firing delay. The X Cube Mini had a horrendous delay that had to be fixed through a firmware update, but the R80 fires almost instantly right out of the box. SMOK appears to be learning from its previous mistakes, and that’s a big plus in my book.
The R80 TC mod is an important of the SMOK Micro One starter kit, but the other essential component is not too shabby either. The tank included in this package may be a micro version of the TFV4 sub-ohm tank, but it performs almost as well as it big brother.

But first let’s talk a bit about the size and design of this little beast. At just 22 mm in diameter/ 51 mm in length and weighing 69 g, the micro TFV4 is considerably smaller than SMOK’s original TFV4 tank (24.5mm x 73.5 mm, 92 g) and even the TFV4 Mini (22 mm x 73.5 mm, 85 g). The coils for the micro version are also significantly smaller, as you can see in the photos, but I can tell you that that has very little impact on performance.
Design-wise, the micro TFV4 is just a slightly more compact version of the TFV4 Mini tank. It has the same four adjustable airflow holes on the base, the exact same top filling system that I fell in love with on the original TFV4, and the proprietary double-layered airflow control drip tip. It’s basically a radically scaled-down version of the SMOK TFV4 tank with a barely noticeable compromise on performance.

Out of the box, the micro TFV4 can hold a maximum of 2.5 ml of e-liquid, which may be ok for most other tanks, but not for a thirsty monster like this. Unfortunately, the micro TFV4 tank shares the appetite for juice of its two bigger brothers. While the juice doesn’t vaporize as fast with these smaller size coil heads, the level still drops unusually fast after just a few hits, especially at over 60 watts. The original TFV4 can hold 5 ml of e-liquid, while the Mini has a capacity of 3.5 ml. The 2.5 ml of the micro is really pushing it. Luckily SMOK has us covered.
For those vapers who find the TFV4 and TFV4 Mini too big – and there are a quite a few – the 2.5 ml micro version may be just the right size, but if you’re willing to deal with a bigger tank for an extra milliliter of e-liquid, you can use the tank extension adapter included in the Micro One kit. All you have to do is take the tank apart, swap the stock glass tube with the XL replacement (also included in the kit) and attach the extension to the top part of the tank before putting it all back together. Now you basically have a TFV4 Mini, which is awesome.

Refilling this bad boy is quick and easy thanks to the innovative top-filling system. Just push the top of the tank to the left to loosen the hinge and reveal the large silicone gasket sealing up the e-liquid. Then take a dropper or a syringe and add juice through the large hole in the gasket (not the air duct in the center!). Then slide back the top of the tank until it snaps into place and you’re done.
You’ll have a tough time finding a tank with more airflow options than the TFV4 family. Just like the two previous releases, the micro TFV4 features four large adjustable holes on the base, and four adjustable airflow holes on the drip tip. These last ones actually serve a purpose on powerful mods like the 160 W X Cube 2 or 200 W Koopor Plus, but not on the 80 W R80. Vapor tends to get really hot at over 100 watts, so sliding open these drip tip holes lets in air that cools the mouthpiece, but at lower wattages they just make the vape airier, something I don’t particularly care for. I prefer to keep these closed, but it’s nice to know they’re there to fiddle with, I guess.

The Micro One starter kit also comes with two different coil heads – one 0.30Ω kanthal clapton coil head (preinstalled in the tank) for wattage mode, and an 0.25Ω stainless steel dual coil head that can be used both in wattage and temperature mode. Both perform exceptionally well, producing clouds of warm vapor as well as clear flavor, but in case you prefer a cooler vape that’s all about the flavor, SMOK actually offers two different sets of coil heads to choose from with the Micro One kit. The two mentioned above are the sub-ohm set, but you can opt for the flavor edition – a 1.8Ω MTL (Mouth to Lung) coil head and a 1.2Ω MTL coil head. I didn’t get a chance to try these, and I much prefer sub-ohm coils, but if you’re into cooler vapes or mouth to lung vaping,  you should definitely try them.
If you’re familiar with TFV4 tanks, you already know about the RBA tanks they usually come with. These are great if you like to do you’re own coil builds, or if you want to take advantage of the tanks without spending a fortune on the expensive SMOK coil heads. The micro version also has an RBA deck available, but it’s not included in the Micro One kit, so you have to spend a little extra to buy it separately. SMOK were kind enough to send it to me for this review, and I personally love it. It’s really small, but if you’ve used RDA’s before, changing the coils should be a breeze. It really should save you a lot of money in the long run, but if you don’t like getting your hands dirty and money’s no object, the coils work great as well. The thing to take away from all this is that you have a lot of options, and knowing SMOK, new ones should be available very soo

The coils for the micro TFV4 are much, much smaller than those for the regular and mini TFV4, but as I said before, they are very similar in terms of performance. The vapor production is not as insane as on the other two tanks, but then again, the coils don’t consume as much juice either. Don’t get me wrong, the micro TFV4 is still a thirsty beast, compared to other tanks, it’s just not as bad as its larger brothers. So if you’re looking for TFV4 level vapor production, but looking to save some juice, the Micro One kit is a great alternative.
All in all, I was very impressed with the SMOK Micro One starter kit. Both the R80 TC mod and the micro TFV4 sub-ohm tank are great additions to the fast-growing SMOK family, and the fact that they come as a complete package really should make it very appealing to casual vapers looking to get a taste of advanced vaping. And if the build-quality and performance of the Micro One starter kit aren’t enough to impress you, the price surely will. You can get now buy the kit for as little as 59.99, which is basically a steal. I, for one, can’t think of a better alternative for this kind of starter kit, if you can, please let me know.

SMOK vaping gear was already much cheaper than the competition, but they’re really pushing the envelope with the Micro One starter kit. If they keep this up, they’ll probably be giving stuff away for free soon. In all seriousness though, if you’re in the market for an advanced vaping setup that includes everything you need minus the liquid, I highly recommend you consider the SMOK Micro One.

Innokin Coolfire IV 100W TC Starter Kit

If you’re familiar with Innokin’s Coolfire IV+, then chances are that you already know how great that product is and how much its users seem to rave about it on a regular basis. I know people who swear by the Storm Edition, and take any criticism of it as a personal insult, so yes – it’s that good. With that noted, Innokin has made a number of advancements in recent months, including the new Aethon 100W-compatible board offering increased temp control. Well, they decided to use that board in the newest incarnation of the Coolfire IV, and that leads us to the product we’re reviewing today. As good as the Coolfire IV+ was, we all know that there was no guarantee that its successor would share its success. So, did it? In this review of the Innokin Coolfire IV 100W TC Starter Kit, we’ll try to get to the bottom of that important question.
Let’s be clear about one thing: after using this box mod device, there is no doubt about the overall performance benefits offered by the Aethon chipset’s inclusion. This is a major upgrade that is going to really catch many Coolfire fans by surprise, as the 100 watts of temperature-controlled power really offers vaping at a different level than what most of those users are accustomed to seeing with their old devices.

The Battery

The device uses a 3300 mAh battery as opposed to the standard 18650 batteries that you see quite often in these types of box mods, so it offers more than enough power to get you through an average day before you have to recharge it during the night. Obviously, heavy use throughout the day – as you might see if you are continually vaping on a road trip, for example, might see you getting less continuous use out of your new Coolfire, but you will still have better staying power than you’ll get with many other products. Plus, there is nothing that says that you have to run the battery completely down, so feel free to recharge any time when you’re not actively using it.
The OLED screen provides a full range of critical information about your device and its usage. You can check the watts, resistance, battery power, voltage, and temperature, as well as your menu of options. All of those options can be controlled using three conveniently located buttons near that gorgeous screen, so there is no fumbling around when you need to make changes. The OLED will also flash codes on the screen in the event any of the device’s protective features are initiated. You can see what those error messages mean by matching the code to the key provided in your owner’s manual.

Temperature Control

There are three temperature settings from which you can choose: The Nickel 200, the Titanium, or the standard Stainless Steel. One thing that really impressed us was the speed at which the Aethon chip responded to our selections – in this case, less than two-tenths of a second from the time we made our selection and the time the device responded. That’s impressive indeed. As for resistance settings, you get unparalleled accuracy at even the lowest resistance ranges, making it easier than ever to ensure that you avoid those horrible dry hits.
That accuracy is necessary for a device like this, since it is designed to provide the maximum level of TC you’ll find anywhere in the marketplace today. The Aethon board seems to do an excellent job detecting even the most minute changes in coil resistance, and makes precise adjustments to maintain your chosen preferences.

The Design

The body is basically a re-purposed Coolfire IV+, which means that it too has perfectly-placed buttons and dependable quality. With the starter kit, you get the 3 ml tank you need, and the iSub tank. Put together, the device is capable of putting out plenty of vapor, though you’re unlikely to be confused for a hookah-smoking caterpillar any time soon. Still, the design is sure to provide you with rich flavor that quickly bathes your taste buds in the perfect blend of e-juice sensations you need to truly enjoy each draw.
Of course, the best thing about this device is its accessibility. Innokin tends to approach design from an intuitive perspective, and that leads to products that almost tell you exactly how you should use them. This device is no different in that regard, and that means that it is a great starter kit for anyone who is just getting started with the more advanced vaping offered by temperature control technology.

The device also comes in a variety of colors, ranging from basic black or white to blue or red. That can be important for those who want their vaping experience to be both stylish and enjoyable. Though some might still subscribe to the notion that things like unit color don’t really matter in the end, the fact remains: there’s no reason that the best vaping tools cannot also be attractive pieces of technology. It’s nice to have a company that understands that as well.
So, what we have is a beautiful and elegantly-designed mod that does exactly what you would want from your vaping equipment. It’s light enough to be used on the go, and sturdy enough to last for many years into the future – or at least until Innokin makes the next great vaping mod that catches your eye. At under $50, the Innokin Coolfire IV 100W TC Starter Kit is definitely worth a look!

VaporFi VOX® 60 TC MOD

Our VaporFi Vox 60 TC review takes a look at the latest in the line of Vox box mods from VaporFi, boasting a 2600 mAh in-built battery, up to 60 W of power and TC with nickel and titanium coils. Sounds awesome, but does it live up the hype?

VaporFi’s Vox series has gone through quite a few incarnations now. The original Vox 50 performed well, but it’s construction and features left a lot to be desired. Then came the Vox Mini, which rectified some of the issues and was a solid mod in its own right. However, it was lacking temperature control (TC) and only offered 40 W of power. The Vox 60 TC is the latest in the line-up of box mods from VaporFi, and this one aims to do pretty much everything you could want it to. It offers an in-built 2600 mAh battery, 60 W of power and TC vaping using nickel and titanium coils. But does the device live up to the hype? We’ve put it to the test for our VaporFi Vox 60 TC review to find out.

The Vox 60 TC is available on its own for $139.99. You can also pick it up in a kit with a tank of your choice for $169.99. We’ve tested out the kit with the vSix sub ohm tank included, so this review will cover both devices.

What You Get

The Vox 60 TC comes in a standard-style box with VaporFi branding and the characteristic white-and-green color scheme. The box opens up to reveal your device resting in an upper layer of foam. As well as that, you also get a manual and a high-quality USB charger. The vSix tank comes separately in the same style of box. You receive the tank, a 0.45 ohm SS coil, a 0.25 ohm Ni200 coil and a 0.25 ohm standard Kanthal dual coil. This is a great offering, overall. If you pick up the starter kit the only thing you need to get vaping is some e-juice.

The Design

The Vox 60 TC has a very minimalist and low-key appearance. It comes in either black or silver and has a uniform color, curved edges and a fairly small stature. The mod measures 79 mm tall by 39 mm wide by 24 mm deep (roughly 3 and 1/8 inches by 1 and 1/2 inches by 1 inch). This means it fits comfortably in your hand and slips easily into a pocket or bag. One side features some branding, but it’s simply engraved into the body of the mod in the same color, so it doesn’t stand out too much or ruin the overall appearance.

The fire button is square and located on the front side of the mod, and sits flush to the body of the device. The display screen sits right underneath this as on most mods. Less conventionally, the adjustment buttons are located on the top edge of the device. This helps keep the front edge of the mod from getting too busy, but it does make it a bit more uncomfortable to adjust your settings. The USB charging port is on the bottom of the device – so no standing it up as you charge.

The 510 connection sits behind the adjustment buttons. This features a spring-loaded and silver-plated contact point that also has a flat-head screw top so it can be adjusted further if necessary (which, realistically, it won’t be).

The vSix sub ohm tank matches the mod very well thanks to the black body. Although the silver VaporFi branding stands out a lot more than the counterpart on the mod, it still looks fairly sleek on the whole. The tank has two oval-shaped windows so you can see your juice level, which also adds to the generally appealing look.

The tank is built like most other sub ohm tanks, with the coil attaching to the bottom deck and a slot-style adjustable airflow at the bottom. It has a top-filling design, with the knurled top cap screwing off and revealing two fill holes surrounded by small sections of rubber. Below the top cap is another textured, twistable section which is used to control the liquid flow to the coil. As you turn it, you can see the metallic fringes at the bottom of the chimney section move to cover the wicking ports in the coils.

Although it’s a top-filling tank, it screws apart easily from the bottom too so you can change your coil. There’s another knurled section below the airflow ring to make this easier to do. On the whole, the design of the tank is great, and anybody who’s used a sub ohm tank before should feel right at home.

Overall, the design of the Vox 60 TC and the vSix tank are great. They both do everything you need them to, don’t impose much branding on you and have some nice touches to ensure everything looks great.

Features

The main feature of the Vox TC 60, as the name suggests, is the TC functionality with nickel and titanium coils. This allows you to set the temperature anywhere from 200 to 600 °F (or 100 to 300 °C). The device also gives you the option of adjusting the ramp-up wattage. This is a must-have option on TC devices for me, and it’s simply controlled with the adjustment buttons when you’re in TC mode. Adjusting the temperature isn’t as easy to do, though – you have to lock the device and hold down both adjustment buttons to make changes.

And of course the device also has variable wattage mode. This allows you to set the power going to your atomizer anywhere from 7 to 50 W, in 0.5 W increments. The fact that they’ve departed from the norm of 0.1 ohm increments is a big plus-point. There is rarely any need for such precision and it makes it much less time consuming to adjust your setting. You can use the device with any coils ranging from 0.1 to 3.5 ohms in standard wattage mode and from 0.05 to 1 ohm in TC mode.

The Vox 60 TC also has a mech mode – which you activate by going past 60 W in the standard wattage mode. This allows you to go over the power limit if you’re looking for higher-wattage vaping. Increasing the available wattages would have accomplished the same thing (and would have given you consistent performance), but this is a nice addition for anybody who wants more power from their device.

The Vox 60 TC also comes with the expected range of safety features. This includes low voltage and low resistance protection, as well as an in-built amp limit of 24.5 A. This limit offers more than enough to satisfy most vapers while still keeping you within the safe limits of the battery. The device also has plenty of venting to protect you in the unlikely event something goes wrong with the battery. It can also be locked and powered off to prevent accidental firing.

Overall, while the device could have more features (such as a TCR mode so you could adjust the TC performance and support for stainless steel TC coils) it does a great job, and offers everything most vapers will need.

In Use

So how do the Vox 60 TC and the vSix tank stand up in use?

For ease of use, the combination works excellently. The Vox 60 TC has an automatic ohm reader. This means that when you connect a new atomizer, it automatically displays the resistance. If you’re in TC mode but connect a standard coil, it will also move you to wattage mode. If you’re attaching a TC atomizer, it asks which type of coil you’ve connected. After you choose Ni200 or Ti, it takes to you to the correct version of the home screen. For the TC coils, I’ve had a few occasions when it didn’t respond when I connected the atomizer. To solve this issue, you simply disconnect your tank, wait for it to register that it’s disconnected and then screw back on.

As for the tank, the top-filling system works really well. The two fill holes are easily big enough for a dripper spout, and its much more user-friendly than bottom-filling tanks. You have to remember to close off the liquid flow as you fill up, but really it’s not so bad if you forget (though you may get some leaking). When you screw the top cap back on after filling you naturally uncover them anyway.

The performance from both the mod and the tank is excellent. The mod in particular is a beautiful device. Despite being metallic, it feels pleasantly soft in your hand and the curved edges make it very comfortable to use. Wattage mode works just as you’d hope. The power output is consistent and I haven’t had connection issues, fluctuating resistance or any similar issues throughout testing. With the vSix tank, the vapor production is excellent and the flavor is robust and delicious. It really brings your juices to life, and the adjustable airflow gives you plenty of options for draw. As with many sub ohm tanks it’s hard to get a good mouth-to-lung friendly airflow out of it. However, you can do it if you really close off the airflow.

The TC works really well too, managing to limit your coil’s temperature while still providing a consistent stream of vapor. This largely comes down to the adjustable ramp-up voltage. If you were stuck vaping at 60 W it would approach the maximum pretty quickly. Then there’d be a notable drop-off as the device let the coil cool down, producing a jumpy, sporadic vaping experience. Although I only tried it with the nickel coils included with the vSix, it worked excellently, as did the tank itself for TC vaping.

The battery in the mod has a 2600 mAh capacity. This is enough to get you through a day, especially if you’re not vaping at high power. I’m a bit of a chain-vaper, though, so I did struggle to get full day from a charge. That said, it’s definitely a device you could take with you to work without worrying about running out of charge. Also, charging is impressively quick; it takes about one and a half hours from empty to full. It would be better if it allowed vaping as you charge, though, especially for vapers who only have one device.

There are a few downsides to the setup, though. The easy adjustment of ramp-up wattage in TC mode is great, but it could be organized more efficiently. The process for changing temperature is awkward: lock, hold down adjustment buttons, and then dial in your setting. It’d be better to do this for wattage rather than the temperature, because you’re more likely to want to adjust your temperature to suit your juice. In most cases this doesn’t really cause a problem, though, and it’s easy enough to adjust.

The tank is also very prone to leaking when it’s low on juice. This is expected, but it does seem to be a bigger issue with the vSix than with other tanks. Again, in most cases this isn’t a huge deal, but it can get annoying on occasion.

Finally – and this is getting quite nit-picky – the adjustment buttons aren’t too comfortable to use when you’re vaping. Although it would have ruined the flush appearance of the front of the mod, it would have been much more easy to use if they’d have been under the display screen. On the whole, though, the mod is very comfortable to use.

Overall, the Vox 60 TC does a great job in day-to-day use. Despite some minor, niggling issues it’s a fantastic device. The same goes for the vSix, which would have been near-flawless without the leaking issues. However, it still offers fantastic vapor production and great flavor with all of the included coils.

Build Quality

The Vox 60 TC has exceptional build quality. The threading is very high quality, the buttons have a pleasant amount of resistance without being too hard to push down, and the whole device seems very sturdy. There isn’t much that could have gone wrong, but VaporFi has still done an excellent job. The same goes for the vSix – everything works just as you want it to.

Conclusion

The Vox 60 TC and vSix tank make an awesome combination. They both perform excellently, do everything you want them to – unless you’re big on clouds and 60 W isn’t enough power for you – and have a sleek, impressive appearance. The mod in particular is a beautiful device; VaporFi has really shown they work to improve their offerings since the first Vox, and this is really the pinnacle of what they have to offer. As always with VaporFi, the big sticking point is the price. At $139.99 for the mod alone and $169.99 when you add a tank into the mix, it’s really quite an investment, and it puts them well into the high-end of vaping devices. The benefit of choosing VaporFi is the manufacturing quality and excellent, US-based customer service – even for troubleshooting or other issues, which is great for newer vapers – but you can’t escape the fact that you can find many great devices for less money. If you’re willing to pay a little more, the device is absolutely excellent, and comes highly recommended, but they’re not the best choice if you’re looking to maximize your savings.
